As of 9:00 a.m. the same day, the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch had completed the export procedures for 47 declarations of enterprises and border residents, with 96 vehicles, with a total weight of 2,374 tons, and a turnover of more than 2.3 million USD.
The main export items are fresh fruits, fish, frozen shrimp, raw lobsters, live clams and cassava starch.
Previously, the Border Gate of Bac Luan II Bridge (Mong Cai City) performed the pre-arranged customs clearance from January 31 to February 2 (March 3 to Saturday). From February 5, customs will remain as usual.
Thus, by the morning of February 5, import and export activities at border gates and openings in Mong Cai City had returned to normal.
According to statistics from the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch, from January 25 to February 2, 2025 (December 26 - the 5th day of Tet), at the Bac Luan II Border Gate, there were 1,308 vehicles entering and leaving the country, an increase of 163% over the same period as the 2024 Giap Thin Tet holiday. At the Km3+4 Hai Yen temporary pontoon bridge opening, the number of vehicles is 368.
The Customs Branch opened 582 declarations for 35 enterprises, with a total turnover of 35.2 million USD, an increase of 268% in declarations and 47% in turnover compared to the same period last year. The main items are seafood, export fruits and imported aquatic products.

In January 2025, the total import-export turnover at Mong Cai Border Gate reached 234.7 million USD, an increase of 53% over the same period. Of which, the export reached 133.18 million USD, imports reached 101.56 million USD. The number of enterprises doing import and export procedures increased by 46 units, bringing the total number to 352 enterprises.
