Outside the door appeared a line of text with the content: "Florida would like to announce the temporary suspension of operations at the Thai Binh City branch until December 7, 2024 to upgrade equipment, supplies and additional documents. We hope for your understanding!".
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Customer's cheeks swelled after going to a fake cosmetic clinic in Thai Binh" reflecting the case of a customer in Thai Binh City who suffered from pain, swollen cheeks, nausea, dizziness... after using a service including a number of procedures with invasive techniques to fill the forehead, fill the cheeks, remove wrinkles, narrow the smile lines... at a facility that self-proclaimed, self-advertised, and introduced itself as "Florida International Cosmetic Clinic, Thai Binh City" at 633 Le Quy Don, Thai Binh City.
After receiving the customer's complaint, on November 28, the Thai Binh Department of Health directed the establishment of an inspection team led by the Department's Chief Inspector to organize an inspection and work with representatives of the facility named "Florida International Aesthetic Institute, Thai Binh City".
The representative of the above establishment was only able to present the business registration certificate first issued by the Department of Finance and Planning of Thai Binh City on March 5, 2024 to Mr. Dao Van Kien (born in 1991, residing in Hamlet 1, Tan Huong Commune, Ninh Giang District, Hai Duong Province).
According to the content stated in this certificate, "Florida Thai Binh business household" registered its business line as "hair cutting, hairdressing, hair washing" (industry code 9631).
On November 29, the Inspector of Thai Binh Department of Health invited the representative of Florida Thai Binh business household to the office to work, make a record, submit to the leaders of the Department of Health to issue decisions on administrative sanctions, and the representative of the facility received the sanctions decisions.
The total amount of fines according to administrative violation decisions is 32.5 million VND.
After that, the above facility had to return the entire amount of 136 million VND previously collected from the customer who filed a complaint and temporarily stopped operations, closing from the afternoon of November 30.
According to the advertising information, "explosive" at the domain name "www.thammyflorida.com" and the system of pages on the social network Facebook captured by Lao Dong reporters, "Florida International Aesthetic Institute Thai Binh City" is 1 of 5 facilities belonging to the "Florida International Aesthetic Institute System". The remaining 4 facilities of this system are located in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa.
