This is a place to arouse national pride, reminding today's generation about the value of peace and independence.
The Air Defense - Air Force Museum of Vietnam is one of the outstanding military museums of the army. Established in 1963, with an area of nearly 18,000m2, the Museum not only preserves war relics but also vividly recreates the heroic history of the Fatherland's sky protection force. The outdoor exhibition area is a highlight with hundreds of military equipment that have participated in combat, from MiG-17, MiG-21 aircraft - famous "silver wings", to artillery shells and SAM-2 "Dragon Fire" missiles.

Many artifacts associated with the victory of "Hanoi - Dien Bien Phu in the air" in 1972, such as the crashed B-52 plane, prove the will and intelligence of Vietnam in the uncompromising confrontation. The indoor exhibition area tells detailed stories through thousands of documents, images, and artifacts such as military uniforms, handwritten letters, aircraft debris, and battle maps. Typical battles such as defending Ham Rong bridge, Truong Son street... are clearly depicted, helping visitors visualize the fierce but bustling period.

In addition, the space recreates the victory of "Dien Bien Phu in the air" with tablespoons, documentaries and witness accounts, demonstrating the power of Vietnamese people's war and military art. The museum is not only a place to preserve history but also a "red address" to educate patriotism, where the younger generation learn, and veterans recall memories.
The Air Defense Museum is not only an immortal epic but also a precious cultural and historical destination of Hanoi, where each artifact tells a vivid story of the will and bravery of Vietnam.
