This is the first time the contest has been organized online with the expectation of expanding the scope of propaganda, helping officials, trade union members and workers improve their knowledge and skills in identifying and preventing risks in labor and production.
Synchronous solutions to innovate content and forms of education
Occupational safety and hygiene is a content of particular importance, directly related to human health and life, to the quality and efficiency of task implementation of each agency, unit, enterprise and the entire army.
Especially for units and businesses that regularly perform training and combat readiness tasks, labor production with high requirements, and a labor environment with many potential dangerous factors, ensuring labor safety and hygiene is even more practical and urgent.
Over the past time, occupational safety and health in the Army has been concerned, led, directed and organized for implementation by Party committees and commanders at all levels with many synchronous solutions, achieving positive results.
Trade union levels have proactively coordinated to do a good job of propaganda and education; organized timely dissemination of the system of legal documents of the State and regulations of the Ministry of National Defense on labor safety and hygiene, fire and explosion prevention and control with many flexible and practical forms.
Regimes and policies related to workers are regularly concerned; training and fostering knowledge, safe working skills, and warnings to prevent labor accidents are emphasized... ...
However, reality with many new requirements also poses the requirement to continue to strongly innovate, synchronously and effectively implement solutions, in which raising awareness, equipping knowledge and skills on occupational safety and health for officials, trade union members, and workers plays a key and decisive role.
Under the direction of the head of the General Department of Politics, the National Defense Trade Union coordinated to organize the online contest "Understanding knowledge of occupational safety and health" in the 3rd Military Trade Union, in 2026. Talking about the contest, Colonel Nguyen Van De - Member of the Standing Committee of the General Confederation, Head of the National Defense Trade Union, said that the contest is extremely important and practical.
This is not just a propaganda activity but a synchronous solution to innovate the content and forms of education, raise awareness and responsibility of officials, trade union members, and workers towards occupational safety and health in the new situation.
Application of information technology, in line with the trend of digital transformation in the Army
The content of the contest focuses on understanding the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; regulations of the Army and the VGCL on occupational safety and health; and at the same time equipping knowledge and skills to identify and prevent risks in labor and production. Through the contest, each official, union member, and worker has conditions to consolidate and systematize knowledge; improve skills to identify risks and prevent risks; raise awareness of law compliance and labor discipline; proactively ensure safety in the process of performing tasks, thereby transforming awareness into specific actions in each position, making practical contributions to preventing work accidents and occupational diseases, building a safe, regular, green - clean - beautiful working environment.
The new point of the contest is that it is organized online, applying information technology, in line with the digital transformation trend in the Army. This form not only expands the scope of propaganda, creating conditions for a large number of cadres, union members, and workers to participate, but also enhances the flexibility, effectiveness, and spread of the contest throughout the army. For cadres, union members, and workers, this is an opportunity to self-study, self-improve, and improve knowledge and skills about occupational safety and hygiene; linking participation in the contest with raising awareness of law compliance, labor discipline and strict implementation of regulations on occupational safety and hygiene.

Contest participants are officials, union members, and workers working at agencies, units, and enterprises in the Army (where there is a Trade Union organization).
