Journalist Bui Thom: Do not " link up" with artificial intelligence products
Having my work win the B prize of the 2024 National Press Award is a great honor for me, especially on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Award. Thanks to the guidance, direction, and facilitation of the leaders of Lao Dong Newspaper and directly the Editor-in-Chief, the works of our group of reporters have won high prizes, which is a great encouragement for young journalists. I am really happy and grateful for the support of the team to receive this award.

Recently, the journalism profession has witnessed many major changes and transfers. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for young journalists. With the development of social networks, mainstream press must do better its role as social critic to survive and continue to develop.
To adapt to the development of technology and AI, not to "rely" on artificial intelligence products, we have tried to discover and build exclusive articles, press products made by human intelligence, affirming that AI can only be a tool to help the press profession in the new era and cannot replace the role of journalists.
Journalist Trinh Tung Giang: AI cannot replace critical thinking, reflection, and real investigation
In the context of rapid development of technology and artificial intelligence, the journalism profession is facing many challenges and also many opportunities. AI can support journalists in processing data, analyzing trends or even creating basic content, but it cannot replace critical thinking, the ability to record, reflect or investigate reality, human emotions and professional ethics...

Today's journalists are forced to change, learn new technology, and at the same time maintain their heart and professional courage to avoid being dissolved in the wave of chaotic information. flexibility, perseverance and always renewing oneself are the keys for journalists to adapt and continue to accompany readers in the digital age.
Journalist Giang Thuy Linh: It is necessary to develop yourself in the direction of personalization, personalization, becoming "unique"
The works of Lao Dong Newspaper that won the National Press Award in 2024 are all press works in the category of reflection and investigation, showing the commitment of journalists to the profession. The work "Wild Beast Blood Still Flowing" won the award, a great joy for the group of authors. Because when making the work, we have to face great pressure as this is a topic that has been exploited very deeply and very carefully because the veteran journalists and they have achieved many successes, with many works winning press awards before. We must make the data we provide new, our information is not "reiterated" information.

Our works have contributed significantly to the management and support of authorities in handling illegal hunting and trading of wild animals; the works are used as evidence for authorities to handle wildlife trading establishments that hide farms... This is the bravery of journalists that AI cannot replace.
In the context of strong AI development, especially technologies such as ChatGPT, Sora or big data synthesis and analysis tools, the press industry faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities.
To avoid being replaced by AI, I personally think that I and journalists need to master technology, develop themselves in a personal, personalized way, and become "unique". Journalists who know how to take advantage of technology, maintain ethics and deepen their profession will not only not be replaced, but also become irreplaceable.
Journalist Le Tuong Van: Not too dependent on AI to promote the thinking of journalists
I always consider it inevitable to constantly explore, learn and update new technology trends, especially the application of AI in work and life. In fact, AI has become a powerful support tool in my work process. To complete an article sent to readers, journalists must go through many stages: From searching for information, interviewing, reading documents, translating foreign sources, separating audio tapes, to editing and completing content.

Previously, when there was no AI support, most of these stages were done manually, requiring a lot of time and effort. Nowadays, AI helps me save significantly in time thanks to its ability to quickly separate information from text, translate documents, and even automatically convert words from interviews into text. In addition, many technology platforms also support reporters to produce multimedia press products quickly and effectively.
However, I think AI will never replace journalists. Because a journalist is not simply a reporter, but also a social critic, verifying and appraising information. At the same time, it brings new, multi-dimensional perspectives, both providing honest information and aiming at humanistic values and community benefits.
Journalist Hieu Anh: Collective achievements
It is an honor and pride that on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, we received the C prize of the National Press Award for the series of articles "Removing bottlenecks in bidding, opening capital for socio-economic development". This is not only a recognition of individual efforts, but also the achievement of the whole group that has accompanied each other throughout the working process. For me, the award is a great source of encouragement to continue to commit and maintain my passion for the profession.
One of the "difficult problems" that need to be solved for the Bidding Law is how to create barriers to corruption and negativity but still have to be open to procedures are quick, and soon bring capital into socio-economic development.

Solutions and proposals to amend the Law on Bidding must revolve around this issue. From our problem, we expand to the problem of "us". In a large, open society, having many different opinions is inevitable. The upcoming revised Bidding Law will continue to be considered and approved by the National Assembly. Different opinions will be listened to and considered to reach a common consensus. We hope that when the Bidding Law is officially passed, units will comply consistently with a spirit of not being afraid of mistakes and responsibility.
Receiving the National Press Award is a happiness. But we will be happier when the recommendations in our small article contribute a voice for lawmakers to refer to and consider. Our group of authors will certainly closely follow and observe the amended Bidding Law, and when applied in practice.
Hopefully, the hospital will no longer be short of medicine, the road will no longer be behind schedule, and the economy will develop more and more. Perhaps these are the biggest rewards that our group of authors wish to receive.
Journalist Tran Cao Nguyen: Happiness and gratitude
Holding an invitation to attend the 19th National Press Awards Ceremony in 2024, a press award that perhaps all journalists are eager to have. Personally, more than 14 years in the profession have been a period of time when I have longed for it. And now my dream, of a journalist, has come true. I would like to thank the Editorial Board of Lao Dong Newspaper and the group of authors for giving me the opportunity to contribute a small part to complete the series and win the National Press Award in 2024.

After 100 years, this is also a time to look back to honor, but it is also an opportunity for the press industry to look forward. In the context of the strong development of digital technology, traditional journalism is facing many challenges such as social networks overwhelming, widespread fake news, and profoundly changing press business models.
Personally, I believe that journalists in the new era not only need to have strong political will, clear professional ethics, and commitment, but also need to adapt quickly to technology, digital thinking, and the ability to create content on multiple platforms...
