Affirming the role of the Vietnam Trade Union

First of all, this is an affirmation of the role of the Trade Union organization in discovering, nurturing, connecting and promoting the formation of a creative culture for each union member and employee. Creative Labor Day 2025 is held on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The festival aims to honor the value of creative labor of union members and workers - those who contribute to creating endogenous strength for the national economy through effective initiatives and solutions. This event also arouses and spreads the spirit of innovation and creativity in labor and production; promotes the movement "Good workers - Creative workers" associated with digital transformation, green transformation and developing a high-quality workforce in the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation and national digital transformation.

This is also an opportunity to create an open creative space, connecting creative workers with businesses, managers, and policymakers to contribute to spreading the value of innovation for a strong and prosperous developed Vietnam.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor hopes to, through organizing the "Creative Labor Festival 2025" at the General Confederation level, affirm the role of the Vietnam Trade Union in discovering, nurturing, connecting and promoting the formation of a creative culture for each union member, employee, field, and profession, responding to the movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" launched by the Prime Minister.

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the emulation movement "Good workers, Creative workers" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor more than 40 years ago has become a typical movement, bearing the mark of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the cause of national development. Through the movement, millions of scientific research topics and initiatives, technical innovation initiatives have been born, effectively applied to production, business and work, contributing to improving labor productivity, improving product and service quality, saving raw materials - fuel, lowering costs, maintaining and promoting Vietnamese brands, enhancing competitiveness in domestic and international markets.

Promoting those great achievements, practically concretizing and implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; at the same time, demonstrating the determination of union members, workers and trade union organizations of Vietnam to respond to the socio-economic growth target of 8% or more in 2025 and double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor responded to launching the movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" and " digitization of the civil society" in all levels of trade unions.

During Workers' Month 2025, with the implementation of the program "Creative workers, firmly entering the new era", trade unions at all levels across the country organized 826 "Creative Labor Day 2025" attracting millions of union members and workers to participate.

Responsibility of employers - a particularly important event

Speaking about the awarding of the "Enterprise for Workers in 2025", Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong emphasized that this is a particularly important event of profound social significance, organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, to recognize and honor enterprises that have made many contributions to caring for workers' lives and building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.

In the context of streamlining the state apparatus and implementing two-level government at the local level, this is a condition for local government to be closer to the people and closer to businesses. "The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor always identifies its important role in being a bridge between the Party, the government and workers and the government and the Party Committee, in addition to protecting the rights and taking care of the lives of workers, but always accompanying, for the development of the business community" - said the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The Creative Labor Festival with 45 booths, including 15 special booths, will be a driving force to promote the creative potential of workers. The Enterprise for Workers Award, in honor of 28 enterprises, will contribute to continuing to replicate models of caring for workers' lives, maintaining a safe working environment and stable development.
