Lai Chau - The Provincial People's Committee requests to ensure social security and fully pay salaries and Tet bonuses to workers.

Recently, Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee has issued a Directive on organizing the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned tasks to departments, agencies, branches and localities, focusing on hot issues that directly affect the lives of people and workers.

Specifically, the Department of Industry and Trade is required to firmly grasp market developments, not to let the situation of shortage of goods and supply disruption cause unreasonable price increases occur.

The province requests the Department of Industry and Trade to strengthen supply and demand connections and organize programs to bring Vietnamese goods to rural, remote, and border areas, helping ethnic minorities access quality goods at stable prices.

The Market Management force will launch a peak period to combat smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods. Speculation, hoarding goods, and price increases forcing consumers will be handled.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to guide and urge the implementation of regimes and policies for workers.

Specifically, units and businesses in the area must ensure full and timely payment of salaries and Tet bonuses. The province requests to proactively grasp the situation, prevent and soon resolve labor disputes that may arise, and not let strikes affect security and order and the Tet atmosphere.

Policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, poor households and people in difficult circumstances must be cared for thoughtfully. The payment of social security allowances is encouraged to be carried out without using cash to ensure speed and accuracy.

The Department of Construction is responsible for regulating transportation, ensuring "not to let passengers delay returning home for Tet due to lack of vehicles".

The Provincial Police force will launch a peak period of attacking and suppressing crime; strictly handle violations of alcohol concentration and drug use when driving and prevent the illegal use of firecrackers.

The Provincial People's Committee also requests the heads of agencies and units to be responsible if violations of the law occur in their area and field of responsibility.
