The program "Listening to the voices of workers" is organized with the theme "Connecting - Sharing - Accompanying"; and announces the Decision to merge grassroots Trade Unions and launches the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Goertek Vietnam Company after the merger.
Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Pham Van Trung - Chairman of the Trade Union of Goertek Vietnam Company - emphasized that monthly periodic dialogues are always identified by the Company's Trade Union as one of the key tasks to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the enterprise.
According to Mr. Pham Van Trung, direct dialogue is the fastest and most effective channel for the Trade Union to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers; promptly detect difficulties and obstacles arising in the working process.
On that basis, the Trade Union coordinates with the business leadership to develop appropriate solutions and promptly resolve legitimate petitions from employees.
At the program, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision to merge grassroots Trade Unions, and launched the Standing Committee of the Trade Union of Goertek Vietnam Company after the merger.
Talking to union members and workers, Mr. Thach Van Chung - Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation - highly appreciated the proactive spirit of the Goertek Vietnam Company's Trade Union in maintaining periodic dialogues, considering this an important channel to listen to and grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers and solve problems arising right from the grassroots level.
Answering the content that a large number of workers are interested in social housing, Mr. Thach Van Chung said that Bac Ninh province sets a target in 2026 to supply about 20,000 social housing apartments to serve workers.
However, through an independent survey by the Provincial Labor Federation with more than 1,500 votes, the actual needs of workers are much greater than the initial statistics.
From the survey results, the Provincial Labor Federation has proposed that the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and functional agencies study adjusting policies in a direction that is more suitable for the needs of workers, especially migrant workers who need to rent or rent-purchase social housing instead of buying houses.
At the same time, it is proposed that the grassroots trade union summarize the needs of union members so that the Provincial Labor Federation can directly coordinate to support workers to access social housing projects.
Regarding recommendations related to salaries, income and welfare, the Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that in the context of increasing living costs, grassroots trade unions need to promote their role in negotiating with businesses to gradually improve benefits for workers through collective labor agreements.
The content of negotiations needs to focus on issues that directly affect life such as meals, attendance support, gasoline, housing, health care and other welfare regimes.
The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation also requested businesses to pay more attention to the long-term health of workers, especially female workers after maternity leave; create conditions for workers to have time to rest, regenerate labor, and at the same time build truly practical, public, transparent health care programs that bring value to union members.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Trade Union of Goertek Vietnam Company to present 100 gifts to union members and employees of the Company, including 20 gifts for typical and excellent grassroots Trade Union officials and 80 gifts for workers in difficult circumstances.
