On the morning of April 3, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the Conference Program on assigning targets and signing emulation agreements for 2026.
Attending the conference program were Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City Ho Thi Cam Dao; Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai.
Speaking at the Program, Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai said that in 2025, the whole city has implemented more than 3,100 initiatives, solutions and 160 emulation projects and tasks; taking care of more than 16,000 turns of union members and workers with a total budget of over 12 billion VND. In addition, trade union levels have newly developed 1,483 union members and established 10 grassroots trade unions.
According to her, emulation movements such as "Good labor, creative labor", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene" continue to be widely implemented, contributing to improving labor productivity, improving working conditions and the lives of workers.

However, the emulation movement in some places is still not uniform, the spread is not high, and innovation is sometimes not timely. These are limitations that need to be overcome in the coming time.
Orienting 2026, Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai said that city trade union levels set a target to implement over 3,500 initiatives and solutions, each grassroots trade union having at least 1 project or practical emulation work; taking care of more than 18,000 turns of union members and workers and developing new union members from 1,500 or more.
To achieve this goal, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai suggested that trade union levels should continue to innovate the content and methods of emulation, take efficiency as a measure, and link emulation with productivity and work quality.
Each grassroots trade union is a bright spot, each unit is a positive factor in labor, production and work; especially in industrial parks where there are many workers and laborers" - Chairman of Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai emphasized.
In addition, she also requested to promote digital transformation in trade union activities, towards grassroots levels; strengthen care and protection of workers' rights; improve the quality of dialogue and negotiation; and at the same time build a strong trade union organization, develop union members and create a source of training for Party admission.
