According to information from the Can Tho City Labor Federation, the unit has a plan to organize a Sports Festival for employees in the city in 2025.
This is a practical activity to achieve achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 139 years of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025), 71 years of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2025); 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025) and Workers' Month associated with the Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month in 2025.
Responding to the campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", the sports festival will help improve spiritual life, create a joyful and healthy playground for employees in the city; at the same time, create conditions for employees in units to participate in competitions, exchange and exchange work experiences in sports activities at the facility.
The athletes participating in the sports festival will include athletes who are employees, union members of the Labor Federations of districts and towns, unions of Party agencies, the City People's Committee Trade Union, the Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones Trade Union... Accordingly, athletes will compete in men's football, badminton and women's volleyball with many attractive awards.
The sports festival is expected to take place on May 17, 2025 at the Multi-purpose Gymnasium, Can Tho City Sports Center, ensuring practicality, fairness, accuracy, safety, economy and efficiency. Thereby, creating a useful playground for union members and workers.
