On January 18, the Fund for Supporting Poor Workers of the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) in coordination with the O Mon District Labor Federation organized the 2025 Loan Awarding Program. Attending the program was Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Nguyen Ngoc Tan.
At the program, Director of the Fund for Poor Workers of Can Tho City Labor Federation Nguyen Quoc Buu hoped that union members and workers would use the loan capital for the right purpose, effectively and comply with the terms of the loan contract. In the coming time, the Fund will strive to develop loan capital to continue supporting union members and other disadvantaged workers in need of loans.
“The main goal that the Capital Assistance Fund always aims for is to help union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers develop their family economy, gradually increase their income and stabilize their lives. With the loan amount today, the Capital Assistance Fund hopes that union members and laborers will use the loan capital for the right purpose and fulfill the commitments as stated in the loan contract,” said Mr. Buu.
Accordingly, 11 union members and workers were able to borrow capital to improve their family's living conditions at the unit with VND 20 million/member. In particular, 3 union members were able to borrow capital to expand production and business with VND 40 million/member. This is a new product that the Capital Assistance Fund will apply in 2025.
