Training to improve professional skills for Can Tho Trade Union officials

Can Tho - Trade Union staff's professional skills are one of the important factors contributing to the results of Trade Union activities.

On September 24, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) opened a training conference for union officials. The conference was organized to help union officials acquire and improve their awareness and necessary working methods to apply in practice, meeting the requirements and tasks of the union organization in the new situation.

The training course took place from September 24 to 27 with participants being full-time union officials of the City Labor Federation, District Labor Federations, Civil Servants' Unions, Industry Unions, Industrial and Export Processing Zones Unions, and Chairmen of Grassroots Unions (CDCS) under the City Labor Federation.

According to the President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, Le Thi Suong Mai, the professional skills of union officials are one of the important factors contributing to the results of union activities, especially in the current situation. These are the contents that each union official needs to grasp in order to properly implement the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws, and the resolutions of the union organization.

At the same time, it is the basis for assessing the creativity and proactiveness in organizing and implementing Trade Union activities in practice in the spirit of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".

At the training course, Mr. Nguyen Duy Vu - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - presented to the trainees the contents related to the work of building a team of union cadres to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation; the work of mobilizing and developing union members, and building the union organization.

In addition, trainees are also trained in the contents and skills of protecting State secrets; negotiation skills, signing collective labor agreements, dialogue and implementing grassroots democracy regulations; professional work of Propaganda - Women's work; inspection and supervision work of the Trade Union; presentation of document formats and clerical work, archiving, Voffice software...
