On November 15, the Labor Federation of Co Do district held a ceremony to hand over the Decision on admitting union members and establishing the Crop Growing Union in Dong Phuoc hamlet, Dong Hiep commune.
Activities to promote the mobilization and development of union members, the establishment of trade unions and grassroots unions, and the expansion of the trade union organization. Thereby, effectively performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants, and employees.
According to the Co Do District Labor Federation, with the attention, support and facilitation of local departments, branches, organizations and trade unions at all levels, after a period of mobilization and propaganda, workers of the Flower Growing professional group in Dong Phuoc hamlet, Dong Hiep commune have clearly understood the position, role, functions, powers and benefits of union members. Since then, workers in the professional group have voluntarily applied to join the Vietnam Trade Union and proposed to establish a grassroots trade union.
At the ceremony, the Co Do District Labor Federation approved the Decision on admitting union members and the Decision on establishing the Crop Growing Grassroots Union. Accordingly, 10 workers from the Crop Growing occupational group were admitted into the Union. Ms. Tran Thi Khanh Ly holds the position of Chairwoman of the Grassroots Union.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Co Do District Labor Federation Phan Thanh Hai hoped that the Chairman of the grassroots Union would try to pay attention to the workers in the Union to perform well the functions and tasks of union members. The Chairman of the District Labor Federation also asked the new union members to try to produce to increase income and develop the economy of their families as well as the Union.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also presented many gifts to encourage the spirit of new members.
