Currently, the Provincial Trade Union directly manages 64 affiliated grassroots trade unions, with a total of 3,928 union members/4,285 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (CBCCVCLD).
In 2024, the Provincial Trade Union organized and launched practical and effective emulation movements, campaigns, cultural, artistic and sports activities. Successfully organized the Football Tournament to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory, 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union...
In addition, attention is paid to the care of union members and workers. The total number of union members and workers benefiting from the activities of the provincial trade union at all levels is over 4,000 people, with the care amounting to over 3.3 billion VND.
Last year, the Provincial Trade Union mobilized the Trade Unions of the Central Ministries, Departments and Branches under the Vietnam Trade Union, Hoang Long - Hoan Vu Company (PetroVietnam) to support the Provincial Trade Union to build 3 Trade Union Shelters, 3 Great Solidarity houses, 1 boarding house, 2 boarding kitchens and hundreds of gifts with a total value of over 1.5 billion VND.
In particular, promptly visit and mobilize trade unions to provide support with necessities and essential items to families affected by flash floods in Muong Pon commune, Dien Bien district with a total value of 1 billion VND.
The provincial trade union also developed 135 new union members; 105 outstanding union members were admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam. 13/64 grassroots trade unions successfully completed their tasks.
With the results achieved in 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has honored 1 outstanding trade union official nationwide for the 5th time; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has honored 1 union member with "Good advice, good service"; the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor has honored 9 outstanding trade union officials. The provincial Federation of Labor also proposed that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor award Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals; the provincial Federation of Labor award Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives and 16 individuals.
In 2025, with the theme of "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", the provincial Trade Union has set out 7 tasks and 6 key solutions.
