On October 31, Dong Thap province held a summary and award ceremony for the contest introducing typical advanced examples, good people and good deeds in the patriotic emulation movement in 2024. The contest was organized by the Department of Home Affairs in coordination with Dong Thap Newspaper, Dong Thap Radio and Television Station and the Provincial Literature and Arts Association.
After more than 4 months of launching and responding to the contest, the Dong Thap Provincial Education Trade Union mobilized more than 250 authors with nearly 300 works to participate in the contest.
As a result, author Ho Van Nhinh (member of the Union of Doc Binh Kieu High School, Thap Muoi District) won the first prize in the writing category of the contest; author Nguyen Thi Diem (Vice President of the Union of Tran Quoc Toan High School) won the second prize in the photo series category; authors: Tran Thi Cam Binh (member of the Union of the School for the Education of Disabled Children), Dang Quoc Trung (Vice President of the Union of Chu Van An High School), Nguyen Thi Minh Tam (member of the Union of Thien Ho Duong High School), Tran Nguyen Lan Phuong (member of the Union of Thanh Binh 2 High School) and Tran Huyen Trang (member of the Union of Cao Lanh 2 High School) won the third prize; The remaining authors won 17 Encouragement prizes in 2 categories, of which authors Tran Thi Cam Binh (member of the Union of the School for the Care of Disabled Children), Ho Thi Kim Hanh (President of the Union of Thien Ho Duong High School) and Phan Van Khuyen (Chairman of the Education Trade Union Inspection Committee) excellently won prizes in both categories.
With the above results, the Education Trade Union of Dong Thap province won the collective prize with the largest number of quality entries.
According to the Organizing Committee, the contest aims to promptly discover, commend and honor typical advanced examples, good people, good deeds in the fields of work, study, production and social life, spreading good deeds, beautiful actions; thereby, promoting the combined strength of the great national unity bloc, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic, national defense - security, Party building and political system tasks in the province.
