Scientific topics open up new development directions
On July 18, the Trade Union of An Phu ward, Gia Lai province said that Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang - Deputy Director, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of the Tropical Forestry Center (Gia Lai) - is a typical individual awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
This is an award recognizing Ms. Hang's outstanding contributions to scientific research and trade union activities.
In her professional field, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang participated in implementing a national-level project: "Research on conservation, development and sustainable use of the gene source of Mật nhân (Eurycoma longifolia Jack) in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands as pharmaceutical production material".
The topic has met professional standards, and has been accepted and certified by the State-level Council.
In addition, Ms. Hang chaired the research project "Application of new varieties and forestry technical advances to build an intensive acacia planting forest model to supply large timber in Pleiku, Gia Lai", implemented in the period 2025 - 2027.
Right in the first year of implementation, the project completed the construction of 10 acacia leaf experimental models in Gia Lai, opening up a new development direction to improve the productivity, quality and economic value of large-scale afforestation in the area.
Many vibrant Trade Union activities
According to the An Phu Ward Trade Union, in her position as Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, Ms. Hang and the Trade Union Executive Committee have organized many practical activities to care for the lives of union members in 2025.
Many programs are implemented on the occasion of holidays, Tet, International Women's Day (March 8), Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20), and at the same time promptly carry out the work of visiting union members and their families when they are sick or in difficult circumstances.
In addition, Ms. Hang also mobilized union members to actively support the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba, and at the same time donate to support people affected by storms. Each campaign, union members contributed equivalent to one day's salary.
Professional activities and movements implemented by Ms. Hang and the grassroots Trade Union have contributed to building a united and close working environment, improving the spiritual life of union members at the Tropical Forestry Center.
