On the joy of having a house for a teacher who has been renting for many years

On the afternoon of November 21, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) coordinated with Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company to organize the acceptance and handover of the Trade Union Shelter (MACD) house to 2 union members with housing difficulties in Ninh Hoa Town.

For Ms. Tran Thi Ha Giang - teacher at Le Thanh Tong Secondary School, today is a special day: After many years of having to rent a house, now she and her family have a new, spacious, clean and beautiful house.

The happiness of returning to her new home was doubled when the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Town Federation of Labor and the Trade Union presented practical gifts, contributing to her family's warm home.

Mr. Nguyen Khoa Bao - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company - along with the company's leaders and employees also personally handed Ms. Giang a 43-inch Led TV, a souvenir watch and other products of the company.

Unable to contain her emotions, Ms. Giang shared: “If it weren’t for the 70 million VND support as motivation, I don’t know when I would have a house. Our family of four only depends on one source of income and we are currently renting, so many times when we look at the land we saved up to buy near the school, we still wonder when we will be able to build a house!

When we received information about the support from the enterprise of 70 million VND, my wife and I decided to borrow more to build a house. Because the union created conditions, we had to make an effort. Now, although I still have debt, I have the motivation to contribute more."

Bustling in and out to welcome the delegation to inspect the house, Mr. Huynh Canh - a member of the Ninh Hung Commune Trade Union - excitedly showed off his spacious house.

Over the past year, Mr. Canh's family has been living in a dilapidated house with a leaky roof, peeling and cracked walls. Mr. Canh shared: "The house is seriously degraded, but with the income of the couple, it is only enough to support 2 children. The house is repaired, we try to patch it up to live. When the Union informed us about the support program to build houses for union members, I immediately registered with the hope that I will have more resources to change my life."

Considering the conditions of union member Huynh Canh, Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor has decided to allocate 70 million VND from the support fund of Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company to help him build a new, spacious 75m2 MACD house with 4 clean, modern functional rooms.

Congratulating the union members on having a new house and a stable life, Mr. Phan Thanh Liem - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - hopes that after settling down, the union members will continue to strive to complete their work well. At the same time, spread the program to many union members and workers to join hands to help union members have a house, settle down and start a business.

In the past time, with the efforts of all levels of the union from the source of union members and business units, up to now, 40 union members have been supported with funding to repair and build new houses with a total support budget of more than 2.1 billion VND. It is expected that in 2024, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor will support the construction and repair of 60 new MACCD houses for union members.
