On November 16, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor informed that the unit had just issued a plan to organize activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.
The union will implement practical activities, both taking care of material things and creating a spiritual atmosphere for workers, with the goal of all union members having a joyful, meaningful, warm and united Tet.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation - said that these activities aim to create motivation and confidence, helping workers become more attached to the Trade Union and enterprises. We mobilize the participation of employers and society, accompany the Union to take care of union members, so that no one is left behind during the traditional Lunar New Year, Mr. Hoang emphasized.
According to the plan, the Provincial Federation of Labor will organize many outstanding activities such as the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" associated with "Union Tet Market - Xuan 2026"; trade unions at all levels in the province will organize "Tet Sum Vay" and "Union Bus" to welcome workers home for Tet.
At the same time, the grassroots trade union will organize a "Union Year's Meal" with a value of VND 70,000/meal from the Union's financial resources, while mobilizing businesses and social resources to increase the value of meals for workers.
The Provincial Federation of Labor spent 2.5 billion VND to give 5,000 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. In addition, the grassroots union will give Tet gifts at the rate of VND500,000/gift depending on the source.
To effectively implement, the unit established grassroots union support teams and assigned provincial, commune and ward union officials to closely monitor the area, guide and help the organizing facility take care of Tet for union members. At the same time, the trade union will supervise the payment of salaries, bonuses, benefits, and social insurance contributions, ensuring that workers do not owe wages and social insurance during Tet.
