Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hien - a worker at Phu Sy Tea Company Limited said that the workers here are very excited to join the union. They believe that the union will always accompany and support the workers.

“I am also new to working at this company, but the staff of the Bao Loc City Labor Federation informed us very carefully about the union organization. We decided to apply to join so that we can have a place to live and help each other,” said Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Hien.

Sharing the joy of the launching day of the Phu Sy Tea Company Limited Union, Ms. Vo Thi Hanh - production manager of this company shared that the unit operates in the processing of oolong tea. The number of workers is not large, but the unit's leaders are very supportive of the establishment of a union.

"To operate stably and long-term, we really hope to have a union to accompany and take care of the workers" - Ms. Vo Thi Hanh said.

Mr. Nguyen Van Manh - Chairman of the Bao Loc City Labor Federation informed that the process of mobilizing to establish a trade union received great attention and support from businesses. However, at first, workers were still hesitant and uncertain.

Thanks to the propaganda, explanation and encouragement from the superior union officials and the unit leaders, they understood and voluntarily joined the union.

Mr. Manh added that the unit also guided union members to elect executive committee members. Thereby, the Bao Loc City Labor Federation recognized the executive committee of this grassroots union, including a chairman, vice chairman and 1 member.

“These are exemplary members, elected by union members and workers. They will organize union activities and protect and take better care of union members,” Mr. Nguyen Van Manh affirmed.
