On November 30, Chairman of the Da Huoai District Labor Federation - Mr. Tran Kim Anh said that the unit currently has 63 grassroots unions with 2,097 union members. In 2024, the Da Huoai District Labor Federation and grassroots unions visited and presented gifts to more than 2,000 union members and workers. Each gift is worth from 300 to 1 million VND.
The unit has supported 1 union member in difficult circumstances with 30 million VND to build a house called “Union Shelter”. The union has disbursed 580 million VND from the Fund for Poor Workers and Civil Servants to 28 union members to borrow capital to develop their family economy.
The District Labor Federation organized a contest to learn about the resolutions of the trade union congresses at all levels for the 2023-2028 term in the form of multiple choice and essay questions. This contest attracted more than 2,000 union members and workers to participate.
The District Labor Federation cooperated with the Center for Culture, Information and Sports to organize a men's and women's volleyball tournament for union members and workers. There were 20 teams with more than 500 athletes participating in the competition and more than 1,000 fans.
“We focus on negotiating with employers to increase the value of shift meals for workers. Over 85% of workers have been provided with shift meals at their workplace. On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, we coordinated to organize a “Union Meal” for nearly 1,000 workers,” Mr. Tran Kim Anh affirmed.
According to the Chairman of the Da Huoai District Labor Federation, the unit has promoted and mobilized more than 100 workers to join the union and established a new grassroots union.
Along with that, the unit opened training courses to improve the professional skills of 152 union officials. The grassroots unions introduced 98 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration and training. As a result, 53 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party...
The unit also launched a competition to finish early, ready to merge and establish a new district union in December. Through this, 100% of grassroots unions were assessed to have completed their tasks well. Of which, 13 units completed their tasks excellently.
Summarizing activities in 2024, the District Labor Federation awarded certificates of merit to 6 collectives and 12 individuals; proposed the People's Committee of Da Huoai district to award certificates of merit to 13 collectives and 14 individuals.
Propose Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation to award certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 9 individuals, and an excellent emulation flag to 1 collective; propose Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to award certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual.
"These are collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2024," Mr. Tran Kim Anh affirmed.
