According to Mr. Hoang Lien - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, in order to have a basis for setting targets, the unit has surveyed and grasped the labor resources and businesses in the area.
The Provincial Federation of Labor closely coordinates with units such as the Department of Planning and Investment, Provincial Social Insurance... These units regularly share information and databases on newly established enterprises and the number of employees participating in social insurance...
"This is an important basis for us to assign targets for developing union members and establishing grassroots unions to each direct superior union in a way that is appropriate and close to the local situation," said Mr. Hoang Lien.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong - Chairman of the Di Linh District Labor Federation - said that when assigned the planning target, the Provincial Labor Federation provided the information and address of the enterprise for the unit to grasp. Therefore, the unit is very convenient in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Cuong, the superior trade union directly focuses on propaganda and mobilization work, assigning trade union cadres to closely follow the locality, clearly identifying each unit and enterprise.
The Di Linh District Labor Federation identifies this as a key, top priority task. Wherever conditions are met, a trade union must be established. If the functional unit fails to succeed after one attempt, then persistently advocate many times until a trade union is established...
“With that determination, up to now, we have promoted and mobilized to admit 196 workers into the union, exceeding the target by 115.3% and established 4 grassroots unions, exceeding the target by 133.3% assigned by the Provincial Federation of Labor.
Ms. Nguyen Tran Phuong Thao - Vice President of the Dalat Technology Drivers Union shared that she did not know much about the trade union organization before. After the Dalat City Labor Federation met, discussed, and disseminated information many times, the technology drivers learned more.
The Da Lat City Labor Federation guides and supports us to join the union. The grassroots union is a place for us to gather and share with each other.
