Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Union takes care of union members, accompanies local development

Lam Dong - More than 100km from the mainland, the Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Union always cares about and practically cares for workers, contributing to promoting local development.

On October 13, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tam - Chairman of the Phu Quy Special Zone Trade Union (Lam Dong province) said that the unit is currently managing 8 grassroots trade unions and 2 grassroots trade unions, with 381 workers working in affiliated units, 100% of whom have joined the Trade Union.

In addition, the Special Zone Trade Union also supports more than 500 freelance workers working in the fields of construction, trade, services and tourism.

Mr. Tam said that immediately after its establishment, the unit has urgently developed operating regulations, assigned tasks in the Executive Committee and developed a work program and plan for the last 6 months of 2025.

In particular, the trade union launched the emulation movement "Good workers" to welcome the Party congress, the Fatherland Front congress and the Trade Union congress at all levels.

At the same time, the unit coordinated with the Special Zone government to implement movements: "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "For the poor - No one is left behind"; at the same time, responding to community activities such as cleaning the environment, supporting the Cuban people and people affected by storm No. 10.

Notably, the unit has mobilized the admission of union members, established a new grassroots union; guided two unions at non-state enterprises to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements.

The Special Zone Trade Union also organized the "Union Meal" program at two grassroots trade unions with 160 union members and workers attending, with a total cost of more than 40 million VND. The grassroots trade unions also visited union members and gave Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children of union members and workers with an amount of nearly 40 million VND.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Tam affirmed: "Activities at grassroots trade unions are always maintained effectively, taking good care of union members and workers, and actively participating with the political system in serving the people and building the locality."
