On October 12, Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham - Chairwoman of Ham Thang Ward Trade Union (Lam Dong Province) - said that the unit currently has 26 grassroots trade unions with more than 4,600 union members and workers.
Currently, grassroots trade unions operate stably, promoting their role as representatives, protectors and caregivers for union members and workers. Thanks to that, labor relations in the ward are always harmonious, and workers' rights are guaranteed.
According to Ms. Tham, to achieve this result, immediately after its establishment, the unit has soon implemented many activities towards union members and workers.
In particular, launching a peak emulation campaign to welcome the Party Congress, the Ward Fatherland Front Congress and towards the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
The grassroots trade unions, union members and workers enthusiastically responded to the emulation movement, many practical activities, contributing to taking care of social security in the locality, Ms. Tham emphasized.
Notably, trade unions coordinate with the political system in operating the government at 2 levels, serving people and businesses, such as: Supporting the implementation of online administrative procedures, receiving feedback via software, contacting National Assembly delegates and People's Councils at all levels.
The union also organized cleaning and collecting waste in public places in response to "Saturday for a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment".
Along with that, the unit mobilized to develop union members, establish a new grassroots union, and at the same time take care of workers' lives.
Specifically, nearly 3,000 workers attended the "Union Meal" program with high nutritional quality. In addition, the union organized a Mid-Autumn Festival, giving more than 2,200 gifts worth nearly 300 million VND to union members, workers and children.
The unit also mobilized to contribute more than 50 million VND to support people affected by storm No. 10, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love in the entire union system.
