On November 14, Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh - Chairman of the Dam Rong District Labor Federation said that the unit had just successfully organized a volleyball tournament for union members and workers in the education sector.
This volleyball tournament was organized by this unit in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, the District Center for Culture, Information and Sports.
According to the Chairman of the Dam Rong District Labor Federation, recently, the sports training movement has been focused on by trade unions at all levels here.
Most agencies and units have volleyball courts for daily practice. Many grassroots unions have built their own teams or formed joint teams with other units.
This volleyball tournament has created a healthy playground for union members, teachers and workers. Thereby, meeting the needs of cultural and sports exchange between units in the district.
This volleyball tournament has 8 men's volleyball teams and 8 women's volleyball teams participating. The teams participate in the qualifying round to select 4 men's volleyball teams and 4 women's volleyball teams to compete in the final round.
According to statistics, this volleyball tournament attracted more than 200 athletes selected from the core of the school sports movement. Along with that, hundreds of union members, teachers and workers attended and cheered for each match.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, and 2 Consolation Prizes for each category of men's and women's volleyball.
“This is a practical activity to create a vibrant atmosphere, celebrating the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024) and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Dam Rong district (December 31, 2004 - December 31, 2024)” - Mr. Nguyen Canh Minh added.
