Quang Binh Education Sector stabilizes workers' lives

Quang Binh - The Education Trade Union has presented hundreds of gifts to disadvantaged people and ensured stable income for union members.

On November 13, the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) said that it had just had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Education Trade Union on issues related to policies and regimes directly affecting the rights and legitimate interests of workers.

According to the report of the Provincial Education Trade Union, in the first 10 months of 2024, the employment situation and income of union members and workers were basically stable, with the average income of the administrative sector reaching nearly 12 million VND/person/month; the non-state sector 7 million VND/person/month. The Education Trade Union and grassroots trade unions have coordinated with professionals to effectively implement policies and regimes directly related to the rights and interests of workers.

Activities to care for material and spiritual life were organized practically and effectively such as: supporting cadres, teachers, and workers facing difficulties, accidents, and illnesses; "Reunion Tet", "Worker's Month"... The Union promptly supported and visited union members who were sick, had accidents, died, and lost relatives from the Colleagues' Love Fund with an amount of more than 50 million VND.

On the occasion of the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Association visited and supported 220 teachers and workers, each worth from 500 to 1 million VND; awarded 23 scholarships to poor students; coordinated with agencies and units to visit and give gifts to teachers, union members and students at 4 schools in remote and disadvantaged areas with a total amount of more than 78 million VND.

During "Workers' Month", the industry's trade union presented gifts to 19 disadvantaged people, each worth 500,000 VND; and supported 1 "Union Shelter" house with 40 million VND for union members in especially difficult circumstances.

Emulation movements are always focused on, notably the movements "Good workers, Creative workers", "Innovation, creativity, efficiency in trade union activities" associated with the emulation movements "Good teaching, good learning", "Innovation, creativity in management, teaching and learning" of the Education sector.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairwoman of the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the Education Trade Union in the past time. The Chairwoman of the Provincial Federation of Labor also suggested that in the coming time, the Trade Union should improve its operational efficiency. In the immediate future, focus on emulation movements to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day November 20; focus on taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses...
