On the morning of November 12, Mr. Hoang Lien - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that the unit had just had a working session to review the preparation work for the establishment of the Labor Federation in the new district of Da Huoai.
This work aims to implement Resolution (No. 1245/NQ-UBTVQH15) of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Lam Dong province for the period 2023 - 2025.
Accordingly, from December 1, Da Teh and Cat Tien districts will be merged into Da Hoai district to form a new district.
Mr. Hoang Lien - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - informed that, implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, the unit has soon built a project for the trade union organization.
“Up to now, the review and preparation of facilities, organizational structure and personnel plan have been basically completed. Once approved by the competent authority, we are ready to implement so that the new District Labor Federation can be established and operate according to the charter,” said Mr. Hoang Lien.
After merging district-level administrative units, the current Labor Federations of Da Teh, Cat Tien and Da Huoai districts will be dissolved.
The new Da Huoai District Labor Federation will be established with 182 grassroots unions. The number of union members is 5,043 out of a total of 5,231 workers, civil servants, and laborers.
According to the Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor, the announcement of the decision to establish a trade union will be made in early December.
The unit also appointed the Executive Committee and the Provisional Inspection Committee. At the same time, it appointed the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, Head, and Vice Head of the Inspection Committee of the new District Labor Federation.
Along with that, the work of directing the handover of records, documents, finances, assets and grassroots unions to the new Labor Federation was also carried out immediately.
Mr. Hoang Lien - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that we have established a working group, together with the departments of the Provincial Labor Federation to always closely monitor and promptly support the preparation and handover work. In particular, ensuring that the union activities are continuous and smooth as soon as the new District Labor Federation is established.
