On February 18, Mr. Nguyen Hoa, Chairman of the Trade Union of Tuy Phong Garment Enterprise (Lien Huong commune, Lam Dong province) said that the unit had just organized the handover of support to workers who suffered traffic accidents during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
The two cases supported are husband and wife Mr. Lam Tuan Anh and Ms. Pham Thi Dieu Hien, both working at sewing line 20 of the enterprise.
According to Mr. Hoa, on February 8, on the way to take his young child (3 years old) for medical examination at Phan Thiet Hospital, Mr. Tuan Anh and his wife unfortunately had a traffic accident. As a result, Ms. Hien broke her arm, and Mr. Tuan Anh broke his leg.
Immediately after the incident occurred, the grassroots Trade Union called on union members and workers in the enterprise to voluntarily donate and share difficulties with their families. In just the 15th of February - the last working day of the Year of the Snake 2025 - the amount of donations reached more than 60.6 million VND.
On behalf of union members and workers, Mr. Nguyen Hoa went to Mr. Tuan Anh's house to visit and hand over the entire amount of money to Mr. Tuan Anh and his wife.
Moved when receiving support, Mr. Lam Tuan Anh said that his family was already in difficulty, and now both husband and wife are injured, making difficulties even worse.
