On the evening of February 18 (the 2nd day of Tet), a fire occurred at a warehouse in Long Binh ward, Thu Duc city previously.
According to people, the fire broke out at about 7:30 pm from the warehouse area of a religious establishment located on Street No. 11, Long Binh Ward. As soon as smoke and fire were detected, people and members at the establishment used mini fire extinguishers to rescue on the spot.


However, because the warehouse contained many flammable items, the fire quickly flared up fiercely, covering the entire warehouse area and posing a risk of spreading to the main hall area.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department (Ho Chi Minh City Police) immediately dispatched 5 specialized fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to approach the scene. To serve the rescue work, functional forces have blockaded the entire route No. 11. Ambulances were also mobilized to be on duty to be ready to respond in case people are trapped.



Thanks to timely intervention, the Fire Prevention and Fighting force cordoned off the fire, successfully preventing the fire from spreading to the worship area.
Recorded at the scene, the warehouse and many assets and items inside were burned and damaged. Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties.
Long Binh Ward Police are coordinating with professional units to examine the scene and investigate to clarify the cause of the fire that night.
