Lam Dong - In 2024, the Provincial Health Sector Trade Union completed the assigned targets, introducing 34 outstanding union members for consideration, training and admission to the Party.

On December 30, Chairwoman of the Lam Dong Provincial Health Sector Trade Union - Ms. Mai Thi Hong Khanh - informed that the unit has just summarized the trade union activities in 2024.

“In 2024, we will implement and complete the targets assigned by the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor. Many activities are organized effectively by the union, close to the grassroots situation and bring practical benefits to union members and workers,” Ms. Mai Thi Hong Khanh affirmed.

The Health Sector Trade Union currently has 4,998 officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers. Of these, 3,376 are female workers. The total number of union members is 4,981, operating in 25 grassroots unions.

According to Ms. Khanh, the grassroots unions have done a good job of representing and protecting the legal and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. Union officials have proactively grasped the living and working conditions of union members and workers.

The union, together with the unit's leaders, has proposals and recommendations for the authorities to promptly resolve the policies and regimes of union members and workers.

At the same time, supervise the payment of preferential allowances, reappointment of heads and deputy heads of departments, divisions and equivalent positions... to ensure the legal and legitimate rights of union members and workers.

In 2024, Lam Dong Health Sector Trade Union also surveyed and established a new non-state enterprise trade union with 43 members. The grassroots trade unions trained and introduced 34 outstanding trade union members for the Party to consider, train, and admit them as Party members.

“During Workers’ Month, we organized the installation of signs for 8 new products to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union. The unit visited and presented gifts to 72 union members in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 500,000 VND,” said Ms. Mai Thi Hong Khanh.
