On June 9, Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Duong - President of the Da Lat City Labor Federation - said that the unit had just organized a summary of union activities for the 2024-2025 school year.
The Da Lat City Labor Federation is managing 245 grassroots unions with more than 13,000 union members. Of which, the school sector has 58 grassroots unions with more than 2,000 union members, most of whom are women.
Ms. Duong said that due to the nature of the female union members accounting for a high proportion in the education sector, union activities are focused on organizing in the direction of practical care for female union members and workers.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the City Labor Federation coordinated to organize the "Tet Meal" Contest to celebrate the Party and Spring.
"This is an opportunity for union members to show off their female workers' talents, while contributing to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values during the Vietnamese Tet holiday," Ms. Duong shared.
The Da Lat City Labor Federation also guides grassroots unions to organize activities for female workers on International Women's Day (8/3) and responds to Ao Dai Week 2025.
The unit also launched the emulation movement "Good at public work - Good at housework" and the campaign to build a "5 no - 3 clean" family among female cadres, union members and workers. Thereby, contributing to spreading positive values in union life.
Gender and gender equality activities are organized by trade unions at all levels in appropriate forms. That is through activities to propagate and disseminate legal policies on female workers and gender equality.
The unit also distributed 150 handbooks for female workers in 2025 as documents for grassroots trade unions to hold gender-specific activities...
Ms. Duong shared: "We consider lending more than 1 billion VND from the fund to support poor workers to help women develop their family economy. For those in difficult circumstances, all levels of trade unions will visit and give gifts of timely encouragement...
On this occasion, the Da Lat City Labor Federation commended and proposed that superiors reward 50 grassroots unions, 141 cadres, union members and workers.
The Da Lat City Labor Federation also considered the proposal to award the "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" Medal to 8 union officials...
These are collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in the 2024 - 2025 school year in Da Lat city.
