On March 11, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - Mr. Hoang Lien - said that the unit had just organized a training course for full-time union officials in the whole province.
This training session focuses on improving knowledge and skills in negotiating, signing, and implementing collective labor agreements.
Mr. Hoang Lien emphasized that this is an important content to promote the representative role of the Trade Union organization in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.
According to Mr. Hoang Lien, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation has just appraised and classified 217 collective labor agreements of enterprises. The results showed that nearly 60% of the agreements were classified as B or higher.
The negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements have had many positive changes, from the form of handling to substantial negotiation, ensuring the rights of workers.
The quality of agreements has also been improved, shifting from copying legal regulations to adding more beneficial provisions for employees, in line with the actual situation at enterprises.
Thanks to that, workers feel secure in their work and trust in the Trade Union organization, while their rights and interests are better protected.
However, according to Mr. Hoang Lien, there are still many issues that need to be resolved in collective bargaining.
In the coming time, union officials at all levels will continue to improve their legal knowledge and working skills to make collective labor agreements more and more substantial, bringing more benefits to workers.
On this occasion, full-time trade union officials of Lam Dong province also received training on protecting state secrets and disseminating central documents related to the arrangement of the trade union apparatus in a streamlined and efficient manner.
