On February 28, Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a conference to announce decisions on union organization and personnel.
At the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to terminate the activities of four trade unions at the grassroots level from March 1, 2025, including: Health Trade Union, Education Trade Union, Agriculture and Rural Development Trade Union, Trade Union.
The Provincial Federation of Labor decided to establish: Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Trade Union, including 34 grassroots trade unions with more than 2,500 union members and workers.
The Lam Dong Provincial Government Trade Union consists of 78 grassroots trade unions with more than 5,100 union members and workers.
The two new trade unions will officially operate from March 1, 2025, according to the I term, 2023 - 2028.
Also at the conference, the Provincial Federation of Labor announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Provisional Inspection Committee of these trade unions. Specifically:
Mr. Pham Sy The, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Chairman of the Provincial Civil Servants' Union, holds the position of Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Ngo Van Son, member of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Chairman of the Provincial Education Trade Union, holds the position of Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Government Trade Union.

Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor - Mr. Hoang Lien - said that the termination of the activities of four units and the establishment of trade unions at the grassroots level is to streamline and reorganize the provincial trade union organization.
Mr. Hoang Lien suggested that the Party Trade Union and the Lam Dong Provincial Government Trade Union quickly come into operation to ensure continuity and efficiency.
New trade unions need to urgently develop working regulations, assign tasks to executive committee members and trade union officials to immediately deploy activities.
After the organization arrangement, the trade union must operate more effectively, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new period, especially needing to closely follow the grassroots, pay attention to and specifically guide the grassroots trade union, Mr. Hoang Lien emphasized.
