On the afternoon of February 5, the Executive Committee of the Da Lat City Labor Federation, term X, 2023-2028, held its 7th Conference. Attending were Mr. Pham Van Duoc - Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation.
Accordingly, the members of the Executive Committee of the Da Lat City Labor Federation conducted the election process to supplement the position of Chairman of the City Labor Federation for the 2023-2025 term.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Duong - Vice President of Da Lat City Labor Federation was elected as President of the City Labor Federation for the 2023 - 2025 term with an absolute number of votes (100%).
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Pham Van Duoc - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that previously, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Chairman of Da Lat City Labor Federation was assigned by the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to hold the position of Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Committee from the beginning of 2025.
The Vice President of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation affirmed that Da Lat is the central city of Lam Dong province. This is the locality with the largest number of union members and workers in the province with nearly 13,000 union members and 233 grassroots unions.
Da Lat City Labor Federation is also a leading unit in the movement of workers, civil servants, and trade union activities in the province.
Mr. Duoc emphasized that as a tourist city, Da Lat does not have an industrial park, and businesses operate in many industries and fields such as services, tourism, accommodation, high-tech agriculture, etc.
“This requires the union to organize rich, diverse and flexible activities to suit each industry and each type of production and business. Only then can we gather and attract a large number of workers to join the union,” Mr. Pham Van Duoc affirmed.
Speaking on accepting her new assignment, Ms. Dinh Thi Thuy Duong expressed her determination to maintain solidarity with the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Da Lat City Labor Federation.
At the same time, continue to innovate the content and methods of operation to closely follow the grassroots, towards union members and workers... to be worthy of being the leading unit in local trade union activities.
