On January 17, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that it had organized the handover of the "Trade Union Shelter" house to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, a grassroots Trade Union member of the Lucky House Social Protection Center, located in Duc Lap village, Nam Da commune.
This is one of the practical activities showing the concern and care of the trade union organization for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly's family has 2 young children, belonging to the near-poor household category of the locality. For many years, the whole family has lived in a makeshift, degraded house, building a solid house is a longing but exceeds the economic capacity.
Sharing difficulties with union members, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation supported Ms. Ly's family with 40 million VND from the sponsorship of the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Dak Nong branch. Along with the accumulated money and additional loans from relatives, a spacious and solid level 4 house has been completed, helping the family have a stable and safe place to live.
At the handover ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Thai - Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation presented a support sign for the "Trade Union Warm House", and congratulated and encouraged the family to soon stabilize their lives and continue their efforts to rise up.
According to Mr. Phan Thanh Thai, taking care of housing for union members in difficult circumstances is one of the key tasks, showing the companion role of the trade union with workers.
Having a new house, joy is evident on the faces of Ms. Ly's family members. "The family never thought they could build such a spacious house. The concern of the trade union organization and sponsors is a great source of encouragement for us to feel secure in our work," Ms. Ly emotionally shared.
The handover of the "Trade Union Home" not only helps union members settle down, but also creates an important spiritual support for workers to stick with the unit and trade union organization for a long time.
This meaningful activity also contributes to celebrating the success of the 1st Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, spreading the spirit of sharing and humanity in the lives of workers, civil servants, and laborers.
