Lao Cai Trade Union supports 1.1 billion VND to build and repair 23 union shelters

Lao Cai - Workers' Month 2025 is held from May 1 to 31, with the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneer in entering a new era".

Responding to Workers' Month, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor directs trade unions at all levels in the area to organize many practical activities, focusing on creating a peak period of caring for the material and spiritual life of workers.

For provincial-level activities, joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, helping workers settle down, from April to now, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has spent support for the construction and repair of "Union Shelter" houses for 23 union members with difficult housing circumstances, with a total amount of 1.1 billion VND (including: support for the construction of 21 new houses, 50 million VND/household; 2 households repaired houses, 25 million VND/household).

In addition, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor also provided emergency allowances to 19 union members with serious illnesses and work-related accidents; continued to complete documents and procedures and presented financial support to 120 union members whose houses were completely collapsed to build new houses and their families who suffered heavy damage caused by the circulation of storm No. 3 with a total amount of over 1.3 billion VND (from funding supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Tuoi Tre Newspaper).
