In the first quarter, Lao Cai provincial trade unions at all levels organized many practical activities to care for union members and workers.
Of which, it supported 36,778 union members and workers in the whole province with a total amount of over 41.7 billion VND.
Emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers have been widely implemented. Notably, the program "2 thousand Initiatives - Flexible, Creative" currently has 1,041 valid initiatives and 812 initiatives being considered for participation in the program.
Trade unions at all levels have newly established 3 grassroots trade unions, admitting 161 more union members.
To reorganize the organization and apparatus, the Provincial Federation of Labor has reorganized the departments; terminated the activities of 5 industry unions; established 3 grassroots unions.
In the second quarter, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor directed trade unions at all levels to effectively implement the activities of "Workers' Month associated with the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene".
In particular, focusing on organizing activities to care for the lives of union members and workers; scoring, evaluating, and classifying the quality of Collective Labor Agreements of trade unions at all levels; commending typical advanced models among workers, civil servants, and laborers associated with summarizing the emulation movement "Good workers, Creative workers"...
In addition, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor directs superior trade union units to establish and develop work programs and plans to immediately implement assigned tasks and work; directs trade unions at all levels to organize cultural and sports activities to celebrate major holidays in the year...
Also at the conference, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor presented support to union members and workers affected by storm No. 3, with a total value of more than 1.3 billion VND from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
Also on this occasion, 4 individuals received certificates of merit from the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee for their achievements in implementing Resolution No. 18 of the 11th Party Central Committee.
In addition, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor awarded emulation titles to grassroots unions and trade unions at the grassroots level.
