Mr. Vo Van Sy - a worker at Dong A Vina Company Limited (Long An province) - could not hide his joy when he heard that the Trade Union organization had given him 4 free train tickets to his hometown in Nghe An.
"For the past 3 years, Tet has come but my family had to stay in Long An because we did not have enough money to buy train and bus tickets to go home. Now, thanks to the support of the Union, Tet At Ty 2025 is coming, my family can go home to celebrate Tet with my parents and relatives," Mr. Sy informed.
Not only Mr. Sy, Ms. Le Thi Kim Tan (from Da Nang City) - a worker at Chau Au Vina Joint Stock Company - said that for more than 4 years, she and her husband and 2 children have not been able to return home to celebrate Tet.
“Train, bus and plane tickets are very expensive during Tet, while workers’ salaries are just enough to cover daily expenses. Therefore, my children and I do not have the opportunity to return home during Tet,” Ms. Tan informed.
Ms. Tan shared that she is truly grateful to the Trade Union for caring and supporting her and her family with 4 free train tickets so that this year, her family can return home to celebrate Tet with their loved ones.
The program "Train, Bus, Union - Spring 2025" was implemented by the Long An Provincial Labor Federation to share difficulties with workers far from home. This year, nearly 2,200 free train and bus tickets were given priority to workers in difficult circumstances who cannot return home for Tet.
Mr. Nguyen Van Qui - Chairman of Long An Provincial Labor Federation - said that in order to recognize the contributions of union members and workers to the socio-economic development of the province, Long An Provincial Labor Federation will present 2,188 "Love Tickets" to union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet At Ty 2025 and return to Long An to work after Tet.
"We would like to send our sincere gratitude to the workers who have worked hard throughout the past year. The union will continue to accompany us to help our workers return home to celebrate Tet in joy and warmth," Mr. Qui informed.
According to Mr. Qui, the program of giving away free train and bus tickets is not only a meaningful action during Tet but also a strong affirmation of the responsibility of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers. This is a bridge of love, helping workers to fully enjoy the joy of reunion with their families, while encouraging them to be more confident in their work and life. In addition, the gift is also a sharing and encouragement for workers, who are constantly contributing to the socio-economic development of Long An province.
"Through this program, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor hopes that workers can return to their hometowns safely and conveniently. This activity also aims to strengthen the connection between the Trade Union organization and union members and workers, affirming the role of the Trade Union in taking care of the lives of union members and workers," Mr. Qui informed.
