On December 20, Mr. Nguyen Van Qui - Chairman of the Long An Provincial Labor Federation (LDF) - said that with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Long An Provincial Labor Federation will present 38,300 gifts to union members and workers with a total value of 38.3 billion VND.
The Provincial Federation of Labor also organized 8 locations to implement the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Warm Union Love" and "Tet Union Market 2025" in districts, towns, cities and industrial parks where there are many union members and workers.
At each location where the “Union Tet Market” program is implemented, there will be from 15 to 25 booths providing essential goods and products at preferential prices to serve union members and workers.
The Chairman of the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor said that in order to recognize the contributions of union members and workers to the socio-economic development of the province, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor will award 2,188 "Love Tickets" to union members and workers to return to their hometowns to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025 and return to Long An to work after Tet.
Mr. Nguyen Van Qui added that the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor has requested local trade unions to develop a plan to organize activities to take care of the Lunar New Year 2025 for union members and employees to ensure savings, efficiency and meaning. Trade unions need to proactively participate with employers to publicly monitor and supervise the implementation of plans to pay wages, bonuses, working conditions, rest time, overtime, and other benefits to ensure the rights of union members and employees; ensure the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees when working overtime, working extra hours, and working during Tet.
Long An Provincial Federation of Labor also requires the direct superior Trade Union to proactively advise, report and register the schedule with the leaders of the Party Committee and the authorities at the same level to participate in the Tet care activities of the Trade Union organization to encourage union members and workers. At the same time, guide the subordinate Trade Unions to make estimates as a basis for spending on Tet care activities for union members and workers from the financial resources of the Trade Union.
