On January 18, the Nghe An Labor Federation said that it had just organized the Congress to establish the grassroots Trade Union of EPIC Oil and Gas Joint Stock Company, admitting 90 trade union members.
Speaking to direct the congress, Ms. Phan Thi Trang, Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, acknowledged the concern and companionship of business leaders in establishing grassroots trade unions; and at the same time requested the Executive Committee of grassroots trade unions to focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of workers, and coordinate to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
The Congress elected 3 comrades to the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union; comrade Dang Viet Huynh, Head of the Safety Committee, was trusted to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of EPIC Oil and Gas Joint Stock Company.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Dang Viet Huynh affirmed that he will work with the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union to promote the representative role, strengthen coordination with businesses, and contribute to improving the material and spiritual lives of workers.
