Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Huong - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor said that Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month in 2025 have the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era", and "Enhancing assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".
With the goal, each grassroots trade union and grassroots trade union organizes practical and meaningful activities for union members and workers.
In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor focuses on organizing a number of provincial-level activities such as: Organizing the launching ceremony of "Workers' Month" and responding to "Workers' Safety and Health Action Month" in 2025; opening the Labor Union Sports Tournament with the participation of more than 300 athletes from 18 teams from districts, cities, towns, and trade unions of the production and business sector participating in competition in two events of volleyball and tug of war;
Organized support for 253 union members in especially difficult circumstances with a total value of 253 million VND; awarded funding to support 7 union members in difficult circumstances to build a Union Shelter with a total value of 350 million VND; strived to admit 2,000 union members in May;
simultaneously direct the "May Dialogue" Program in units with expired collective labor agreements or complex labor agreements; 100% of collective labor agreements that expire in May are signed, 90% of enterprise-level trade unions propose to employers to self-inspect the occupational safety and health process.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Phu Tho Provincial Federation of Labor, the unit will direct trade unions at all levels to effectively implement the activities of "Workers' Month" and " Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health" in 2025 with the following key contents:
First, propagate and disseminate to union members and workers the Party's guidelines and policies, associated with disseminating policies and laws related to workers' rights. Coordinate with employers to meet and dialogue with union members and employees according to Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the new situation".
Second, it is recommended to coordinate with employers to organize activities such as "dialogue" "Action for Workers", "Meeting and Giving Gifts", "Thank You Workers", commend and reward good and creative workers. Organize health check-ups for workers, propose to business owners to coordinate in organizing "Union Meals" to support increasing the portion of food for workers in shift meals.
Thirdly, coordinate with functional agencies to inspect, examine and supervise the implementation of OSH in enterprises; organize visits and encourage victims and families of victims of occupational accidents and occupational diseases. Proactively propose to employers to apply measures to ensure OSH. Pay attention to promoting the development of quantity, and improving the quality and efficiency of the environmental safety and sanitary network in units and businesses.
The month of workers and the month of action on OSH in 2025 was the Labor Federation of Phu Tho province with the goal of affirming the role, position and contribution of the working class in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; is a pioneer in the cause of national renewal, creative labor, confidently entering the new era - the era of the nation's stretching.
At the same time, raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society in caring for and protecting legitimate and legal rights and interests, improving living and working conditions for workers, honoring and promoting the role of workers in the new development stage of the country.
At the same time, it encourages union members and workers to actively study, improve their qualifications and skills, change their careers, approach modern labor trends, adapt to the context of international integration and the 4th Industrial Revolution, and prepare for the new development stage of the country.
