On April 26, the Hue City Labor Federation held a launching ceremony for the "Workers' Month" and "Workers' Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health" in 2025, launching a series of activities to care for, protect rights and create emulation motivation among workers, civil servants and laborers.
Accordingly, this year's Workers' Month and Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) have the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneering in entering a new era" and "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".
The Hue City Labor Federation will strengthen the direction of trade unions at all levels to organize grassroots activities, diversify forms and effectively utilize social networks to spread the results of the Month of Action on occupational safety and health, promote caring activities, organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities to attract a large number of union members and workers to participate.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai - Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee praised the achievements of trade unions and city workers achieved in recent years. However, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee suggested that in the coming time, the departments, branches and authorities will continue to coordinate in propaganda and well implementing the law on OSH, taking care of the material and spiritual life, protecting the legitimate and legitimate interests of DV and employees.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also noted that businesses and employers need to continue to comply with legal regulations on labor, trade unions, and social insurance, promptly resolving policies and regimes for employees.
At the same time, fully equip workers with means and tools, periodic health care, and fully implement the regime for workers who have had work-related accidents or occupational diseases. For workers, it is necessary to actively respond to and participate in activities of Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health, strictly comply with legal regulations, rules and measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace.
On this occasion, leaders of the People's Committee and the Hue City Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to enterprises and individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing occupational safety and health work, and at the same time awarded a plaque to support union members and workers in funding the construction and repair of "Union Shelter" houses.
