Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Huu - Director of the Department of Home Affairs - Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Labor Safety and Hygiene Council affirmed that Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month are meaningful activities, aiming to promote the role of trade unions in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.
Raising awareness and responsibility of employers and employees in ensuring safety and hygiene at the workplace.
"In recent times, the work of ensuring occupational safety and hygiene in the area has achieved many results, gradually changing positively. Employers and employees are more aware of effectively implementing the Law on Labor Safety and Hygiene. Contributing to reducing occupational accidents, improving working conditions, and taking care of workers' health.
The working month is also an opportunity to honor the workers who are day and night dedicated and worked. The provincial Labor Confederation has organized many practical and typical activities such as awarding hundreds of gifts, supporting the construction of trade union houses, thanking workers, trade union meals, free health checks for workers. The more and more activities affirm the role and position of the Trade Union organization in taking care of and protecting the rights of workers, "the Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Thai Nguyen Province Nguyen Quoc Huu emphasized.
Workers' Month 2025 in Thai Nguyen was launched with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneer in entering a new era". The Month of Action on occupational safety and health has the theme "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".
The implementation period is from January 1 to May 31 in the entire Thai Nguyen province. The main activities include organizing propaganda, training, seminars, and dialogues. Visiting and giving gifts to families of victims of work-related accidents and occupational diseases, and inspecting and guiding businesses.
The goal is to limit occupational accidents and better care for the material and spiritual lives of workers. Protecting human resources is the most valuable asset of every enterprise, towards a safe and high-yielding production environment.
At the launching ceremony, a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was awarded to a grassroots trade union under the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor with outstanding achievements in the Green - Clean - Beautiful movement to ensure occupational safety and hygiene in 2024.
The Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 23 individuals and 20 groups receiving certificates of merit from the Provincial Federation of Labor, and 24 individuals receiving certificates of merit from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Federation of Labor.
