In 2026, the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health is implemented with the theme: "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of occupational safety and health in the digital age".
Workers' Month has the theme: "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity".
Accordingly, Phu Tho province will focus on implementing many key tasks and solutions such as: reviewing, evaluating and developing safe working plans; effectively controlling dangerous and harmful factors in the workplace; strengthening occupational safety and health training.
Units and businesses are required to strictly manage machinery, equipment, and materials with strict safety requirements; conduct labor environment monitoring; fully equip personal protective equipment and health care for workers.
At the same time, focus on training and fostering to improve the capacity of the team working in occupational safety and health.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu requested departments, branches, localities and businesses to drastically implement the goals and tasks according to the program and plan for occupational safety and health in 2026.
Along with that, it is necessary to promote propaganda and training; strengthen consulting and supporting businesses to improve working conditions.
Businesses must develop and implement specific occupational safety and health plans; arrange full-time or part-time staff; organize full training for workers; inspect equipment before putting it into use and equip it with adequate protective equipment.
In addition, units need to strengthen solutions to prevent labor accidents and occupational diseases; promote building a culture of occupational safety; apply information technology in risk control; pay attention to visiting and supporting victims of labor accidents in difficult circumstances.
Inspection and examination work is also requested to be promoted to promptly detect and strictly handle violations; clarify the causes of accidents, and minimize serious incidents.
For trade union organizations, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Provincial Labor Federation continue to closely follow the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, effectively implement key programs such as: "Creative workers, confidently stepping into the new era", "May Dialogue", forum "Party with workers - Workers with the Party" and program "Thank you to workers".
Through this, creating a foundation for Phu Tho to continue to effectively implement solutions, towards the goal of ensuring safety, health and rights for workers in the new period.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 30 gifts to 22 union members and workers who suffered labor accidents and 8 relatives of workers who died in labor accidents, with a total budget of 110 million VND.
