On July 27, Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation said that Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union organized a program to announce the decision to establish the grassroots trade union and launch the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union of Thanh Dat Footwear Processing Co., Ltd. and Hang Thao Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
Attending the conference were Mr. Do Ngoc Anh - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation; Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Huyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Thong Nhat Ward; Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thong Nhat Ward, along with representatives of the Ward Trade Union, affiliated grassroots trade unions, and union members and workers.
The establishment of 2 grassroots trade unions on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) is of practical significance, contributing to affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the new situation.
Through the Trade Union organization, workers have more conditions to be represented, cared for, and protect their legitimate and lawful rights and interests; and at the same time contribute to building harmonious, stable, progressive labor relations, accompanying the development of businesses and localities.
At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Thong Nhat Ward presented flowers to congratulate the Ward Trade Union on the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The Ward Trade Union also organized propaganda about the historical significance and glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union organization; thereby contributing to raising awareness, pride and responsibility of officials, union members, and workers towards the Trade Union organization.
On this occasion, authorized by the Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation, leaders of Thong Nhat Ward Trade Union awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Labor Federation to an individual with outstanding achievements in implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH on mobilizing female workers, civil servants, and laborers in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country.
