In 2022, CNN once again introduced Cao Lầu as one of the best noodle dishes in Asia and featured it in a section introducing new visitors to Asia.
On August 10, the Trade Union of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City organized a Competition of cooking "Culinary Delicacies of the Province" in 2024.
The Cooking Competition "Culinary Delicacies of the Province" in 2024 is an opportunity to raise awareness among all union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the Culture and Sports sector about the preservation of intangible cultural heritage values, helping to preserve and promote the unique culinary culture of the local area.
This is also a chance for all union members, civil servants, public employees, and workers to exchange, meet, and share experiences in preparing dishes, building a sense of community, creating opportunities for bonding, and improving solidarity.
Each participating union member showcases their knowledge, understanding, and skillful and creative cooking techniques, flavor creation, and presentation of dishes for a guest meal.
Through this, they introduce the unique dishes in the culinary culture of the province; each participating dish must have at least 4 dishes and is for 10 people to eat; in addition, participating units can add some extra dishes.
Each participating dish has a presentation about the menu, cooking method, and nutritional sources of the dishes; with a maximum presentation time of not more than 3 minutes.
