On the afternoon of September 22, the Quang Ninh City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the 15th Expanded City LĐLĐ Executive Committee Conference, 5th session.
According to the report at the conference, in the first 9 months of 2026, the work of developing union members and establishing non-state grassroots trade unions achieved breakthrough results, ensuring the progress of the targets set for the whole year; most wards/communes exceeded the city's target by 110% to more than 300%.
Representative work, protection of rights and collective negotiation are increasingly becoming more substantive.
No collective labor disputes, strikes or illegal collective work stoppages occurred in the city.
Activities to care for Binh Ngo Tet, Workers' Month and social security are organized promptly, mobilizing high socialized resources; "Trade Union Meals", "Online Tet Market", "Union Member Welfare" programs create an impression on workers.
The cultural and sports movement took place enthusiastically, successfully organizing the "CNVCLĐ Culture and Sports Festival". Along with that, promoting the "Digital Education for All" movement, deploying artificial intelligence (AI) applications to bring digital technology directly to workers.
At the conference, the City Labor Federation assessed the results of implementing the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the Program "Improving the effectiveness of performing the task of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers in the new situation".
Delegates discussed financial work at commune and ward trade unions; labor relations management at grassroots trade unions; protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
In the fourth quarter of 2026, the City Labor Federation will focus on developing union members, building trade union organizations, participating in Party building; preparing to take care of the Dinh Mui Lunar New Year 2027 and implementing social security activities for union members and workers.
Within the framework of the conference, the City Labor Federation organized a thematic workshop "Improving the quality and efficiency of grassroots trade union activities to meet task requirements in the new period".
