On September 22, Que Phuoc Commune Police, Da Nang City said that heavy rain caused landslides in the Ganh Dinh area, Tu Trung village. Many large rocks from the mountainside rolled down the road surface, threatening the safety of people and vehicles.
Functional forces have temporarily prohibited people and vehicles from traveling through the landslide area. People are advised to proactively choose other routes, absolutely not to arbitrarily cross the blocked area; limit going through hilly and taluy areas at risk of landslides when heavy rain lasts.
On the same day, at Km41+200 at the foot of Deo Lieu pass, Thanh Binh commune, the location of the negative slope that previously experienced landslides continued to be affected by heavy rain.
The construction unit of the Central Region Linkage Project has mobilized manpower, machinery and materials to urgently handle it. Stone cages are used to reinforce the negative slope, stabilize the roadbed and limit rainwater from continuing to cause erosion.
During the recovery period, vehicle operators passing through the Deo Lieu area are required to reduce speed, pay attention to observation and comply with the instructions of the task force.
Faced with the complicated developments of the weather, mountainous localities are also speeding up the evacuation of people from areas at risk of landslides and subsidence.
Nam Giang Commune People's Committee said that on September 21, it had organized the relocation of households in Pa Rum village to the new resettlement area. According to the plan, 19 households will be relocated, and 2 households will have their houses repaired and reinforced on the spot.
Militia, police and youth unions are mobilized to support people to dismantle houses and transport property. Despite the rain, relocation is still being urgently implemented to ensure safety of life and property before the rainy and storm season.
