On July 18, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that Dong Ha Ward Trade Union had just organized a conference to summarize trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
In the first 6 months of 2026, the work of caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers continues to be concerned.
The Ward Trade Union organized the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program in 2026, awarding 100 gifts with a total value of more than 117 million VND. At the same time, the unit supported 414 union members to participate in the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program with a total preferential value of 207 million VND; organized free health check-ups for 50 union members and workers and implemented many practical welfare programs, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of union members.
Propaganda work continues to be innovated with many diverse forms. Prominent is the online contest "Proud of Vietnam Trade Union - 97 years accompanying workers", attracting a large number of union members and workers to participate.
The work of developing union members and building trade union organizations has achieved many positive results. In the first 6 months of the year, the Ward Trade Union admitted 86 new union members, established 3 grassroots trade unions; introduced 7 outstanding union members to participate in the Party Affection class, of which 6 union members were admitted to the Party.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Tai Minh, Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, acknowledged and praised the results achieved by Dong Ha Ward Trade Union in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, he requested the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promote the development of union members, establish grassroots trade unions; improve the quality of trade union activities, contributing to completing the targets and tasks for 2026.
The conference is also an opportunity for grassroots trade unions to exchange experiences, share good practices, effective models, and unify solutions to implement trade union work tasks in the last 6 months of 2026.
