On the morning of September 8, in Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province, the Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) of Quang Tri province organized talks to exchange trade union activities with the Trade Union Union Union of Khammouane province (Laos).
At the talks, trade union leaders of the two provinces provided general information on the organizational and operational situation of trade unions; and exchanged and discussed solutions to strengthen cooperative relations and mutual support in the operational process.
The two sides focused on exchanging experiences in innovating trade union organizations and activities, developing union members, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; collective bargaining, building harmonious labor relations and digital transformation in trade union activities.
Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation and Kham Muon Provincial Trade Union Union unified to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity and cooperation; strengthen exchange of trade union activity experiences in the process of integration and development.
The two sides also agreed to promote propaganda and education for union members, workers and laborers to comply with the laws of the two countries on labor management; and at the same time raise awareness about the friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos and the solidarity and friendship between the two localities.
According to the agreed content, once every 2 years, the Trade Unions of the two provinces will continue to organize working delegations to visit, exchange and learn experiences in the form of rotating chairmanship. The content of the programs will focus on issues of mutual concern, ensuring practicality and suitability for trade union activities in the new situation.
Cooperation activities between the Trade Unions of the two provinces contribute to strengthening the special solidarity and friendship between the two localities and the two countries Vietnam - Laos; and at the same time create conditions for the two sides to share experiences, improve the effectiveness of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers.
