Within the framework of the 2026 foreign affairs program of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ), from September 7-11, the delegation of the Trade Union Union Union of Khammoui province, Lao PDR visited and worked at a number of grassroots trade unions in Quang Tri province.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Aloun Bounchoum - Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Khammoui Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Ratsamy Lueangchanthalath - Vice Chairman of the Khammoui Provincial Labor Federation as Deputy Head of the delegation.
Participating in the program were Mr. Nguyen The Lap - Provincial Party Committee Member, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, along with leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation and representatives of businesses.
At SCAVI Quang Tri Co., Ltd., the working delegation learned about the production, business, trade union activities and the work of caring for the lives of union members and workers.
SCAVI Quang Tri Co., Ltd. is a business operating in the garment sector, with the grassroots trade union playing the role of a bridge between workers and businesses. The grassroots trade union of SCAVI Quang Tri Co., Ltd. has coordinated with businesses to well implement grassroots democracy regulations, organize employee conferences, dialogues on salary regimes, working hours, occupational safety and health and policies related to workers.
SCAVI Quang Tri grassroots trade union has also participated in building collective labor agreements with many contents that are more beneficial to workers such as salary bonuses for the 13th month, diligence bonuses, quality bonuses, meal support of 21,000 VND/portion, gasoline support from 150,000 - 500,000 VND/person/month, childcare and vocational training support for workers.
During the working program, the delegation of the Kham Muoi Provincial Trade Union Union Union also visited TTC International Beer Joint Stock Company. Business representatives introduced to the working delegation about the formation process, production and business activities, and labor care.
Accordingly, TTC International Beer Joint Stock Company was established in 2018, mainly operating in the field of beer and soft drink production. The factory has a designed capacity of 50 million liters/year, oriented to expand to 150 million liters/year. The grassroots trade union of TTC International Beer Joint Stock Company was established on August 15, 2024, currently has 148 union members, including 35 female workers. The trade union coordinates with businesses to take care of union members' lives through activities such as meals, periodic health checks, visits when union members encounter difficulties, organizing labor production emulation movements, cultural, artistic, and sports activities.
At the working sessions, the two sides exchanged experiences in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; building harmonious and stable labor relations in enterprises.
Through the program, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation and the Kham Muoi Provincial Trade Union Federation continue to strengthen cooperative relations, share experiences in trade union activities, contributing to fostering solidarity and friendship between trade union organizations and people in the two localities of Vietnam - Laos.
